Prop M: The 'Tough on Mime' Proposition
California voters were overwhelmingly in favor of the proposition that prohibits miming within 50 feet of public building.
by George Wolfe
SACRAMENTO, California — Miming within 50 feet of a school, hospital or restaurant is now strictly prohibited.
The ballot measure also limits mime activity in public parks. It also increases rights for victims of mime encounters, including the right to participate in public mime shamings.
It limits early release of mimes to reduce prison overcrowding. and reduces the number of parole hearings for convicted mimes, and requires them to register with a neighborhood council if they intend to reside in a particular neighborhood.
It is also thought that the proposition will lead toward the mitigation of organized mime.
